Dancehall artist Ziza Bafana has opened up about the reasons behind growing his hair, describing it as something with phenomenal powers and deep cultural significance.

“While growing your hair, you are cautious about where you sleep, the security of the place, and who you interact with,” he explained.
He further noted that this mindset is one of the reasons Rastafarians in Jamaica take pride in growing dreadlocks, describing it as a strong cultural practice passed down through generations.
“We don’t cut off our hair because it is a sign that shows that we respect nature,” he said.
The singer also revealed that maintaining long hair requires patience, discipline, and proper care. He added that people who embrace the lifestyle often avoid crime and focus more on peaceful living and self-respect.
