During an appearance on Sanyuka TV, Frank Gashumba opened up about his decision to keep his relationship out of the public eye.
When asked why he doesn’t publicly display affection for his wife, he made it clear that he deliberately avoids what he described as “showbiz.”
“My relationship is not for the public. No relationship that is constantly in the public eye lasts. My wife and I are focused on long-term goals to sustain our relationship,” he explained.
Gashumba further shared that his commitment to his wife, Mutoni Malaika, runs deep, revealing that he chose her above all others, even leaving behind potential partners in Kampala to pursue her in Lwemiyaga, where she comes from.
According to him, this was a decision rooted in genuine love and respect.
Addressing a topic that has previously sparked public discussion, Gashumba also spoke about his daughter’s choice not to refer to Malaika as “mummy.”
He downplayed the issue, emphasizing that what truly matters is mutual respect rather than titles.
“The most important thing is that she respects her,” he noted, reinforcing his stance that respect holds more value than labels within his family dynamic.
